The Stained Glass Theater recently performed Living With Style. While I wasn’t the target audience, I think they did a really good job. The Stained Glass Theater is a Christian oriented theater. All the productions have Christian themes, and every performance is opened with a prayer. It was a really unique environment.

The main character, Sam Style, had recently lost his wife and was living by himself. He had multiple health problems and decided it was time to move into a retirement home. He begins to visit different homes in his area, looking for the right one. He finds one named the Leisure Days. After he moves into Leisure Days, he realizes how bad things are. The place gets no funding and the woman running it doesn’t care about her residents’ wellbeing at all.

All of the actors did a good job of conveying a heavy topic in a lighter way without being cheesy. I absolutely loved the layout of the stage and the different levels that the theater had. Overall, I think they did an awesome job for what the play was, but my lack of being able to relate made it feel like it dragged a lot.
