NFL Game of the Week; Buccaneers vs Packers
November 3, 2020
Week six is here, and with the 4-0 Packers going up against the 3-2 Buccaneers, this game was pretty big for both teams. With about 22,307,000 viewers, the game was not that big of a show.
The game between the two teams averaged about 444,976 viewers a minute, and with that being said there was a lot of scoring… on one side at least. The Packers came into this game with lots of confidence being 4-0 and also playing against six time superbowl champion Tom Brady.
The game started off good for the Packers, they trotted down the field with about a five minute drive, they ended up scoring a field goal to put the Packers on the board (3-0 packers). On 3rd and 2, the Packers line came up with a stop after LeSean McCoy got a 1 yard gain. The Packers then got the ball back and made 2 clutch 3rd down conversions. Aaron Jones then rushed for a 1 yard touchdown to put the Packers up (10-0 packers).
That would be the end of the run for the Packers. The Buccaneers then punted the ball, causing the Packers to regain possession, but on a 3rd down and 5 situation, Aaron Rodgers threw a pick-6 to out the Buccaneers on the board making the score 10-7 (10-7 Packers). The Packers then got the ball back but a couple plays later off of an unlucky tipped ball, Aaron Rodgers threw his second interception of the night, only for the Buccaneers to return it all the way to the 2 yard line. First and goal situation, Ronald Jones II rushed up the left side of the line to put the Buccaneers on top (14-10 Buccaneers). Causing the Packers to punt, the Buccaneers got the ball back, and Tom Brady did the Tom Brady thing, and passed a ball on 3rd and goal to Tyler Johnson for a touchdown (21-10 Buccaneers). With 1 minute and 6 seconds left in the 2nd quarter Tom Brady then passed another touchdown on a 3rd and 6 situation to his former Patriots teammate Rob Grokowski (28-10 Buccaneers).
At the start of the second half the Buccaneers got the ball, and they had room to relax, but they decided not to. They went down the field looking to score, but they ended up scoring a 50 yard field goal from Buccaneers kicker Ryan Succop (31-10 Buccaneers). The rest of the game was kind of a bust. With three minutes and 42 seconds left to go in the 3rd quarter, Ronald Jones II rushed for his second touchdown to make the score 38-10 Buccaneers. Then with a scoreless 4th quarter, the final score remained 38-10 Buccaneers causing the Green Bay Packers to gain their first loss of the season.
