NFL Conference Championships
March 8, 2021
The NFL Conference Championship has been set, and two teams remain standing in the playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The two Conference Championship games were amazing and could have been historical no matter the outcome. The Bills have gone 0-4 in the Super Bowl, and Josh Allen could have had his turn to potentially change that, but the Chiefs turned it down. The Green Bay Packers could have given Aaron Rodgers his second super bowl appearance, when he defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl 45. But instead it was historical in another way, Brady is going for his 7th super bowl win (which nobody likes) in his 10th appearance, as Patrick Mahomes attempts to win his second straight super bowl championship with being a starter for only 2 years. Something else historic about this game is the two alumni Steelers stars Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. Both players left the team with someone beef and now they will be competing against each other in super bowl 54. Bell for the Chiefs, and Brown for the Buccaneers. Last but not least the game will be featured in Raymond James stadium (in Tampa Bay). This will be the first time a team will be in the super bowl on their home turf.
In my opinion, this game will be close, and the score differential within one touchdown. The thing is, I can’t decide who will win in the outcome. The Buccaneers defense has forced 12 turnovers in this year’s playoffs, but Brady threw 3 interceptions in the past game against the Green Bay Packers. My gut wants to go with the Bucs because Tom Brady (unfortunately) plays well in the super bowl, and by the fact that it’s on their own turf. But another part of me wants to go with the Chiefs. My opinion on each player as a person is better for the Chiefs and the Chiefs are my home team so I hope to see Patrick Mahomes get his second win in a row and knock off the Kobe Bryant of the NFL, Tom Brady. My prediction for the score, Chiefs 43, Bucs 30.
