All Out, All Game, All Season

Fair Grove Volleyball played New Covenant Academy on October 11, at home, as their final official regular-season game and also for their senior night.
The Team will be losing four seniors this year: Audrey Williams, an outside hitter; Chole Reynaud, a defensive specialist; Macee McAtee, a defensive specialist; and foreign exchange student Anna Fanciullo, an outside hitter.
Fair Grove Varsity Lady Eagles won their senior night 3-0. Winning each set by a landslide! “We played really well and the team was consistent along with all of our plays,“ says Katie Mueller (11), a defensive specialist. This season has had a total of 11 wins. The seniors will be missed tremendously on the court, but the years to come will hopefully add some new skill to the team.
The girls have practiced since August and have kept going non-stop. Kristyn Muncy (11) stated, “Hard work pays off!”
Muncy continued, “the Willard game is an example of hard work paying off this season, where Willard literally won state the year prior. Our team’s effort and work ethic was through the roof that game. Even though we didn’t win the game, we competed so well with a team that was supposedly going to demolish us in three sets, but we fought and took it to four!”
Kameron Green (11) added, “This season the team has done a great job of making every game fun and exciting, however, one of the best games we played was against Mt. Vernon this year. I am also very proud of how we played this summer at camp when we changed our mindset and went 7-1 for the day.”
It is very clear that Fair Grove has an extraordinary set of girls on the team this year who are willing to do whatever it takes to improve themselves. Having a good mindset is key to going into the game ready. Green stated, “Before games I like to take some quiet time to stretch and visualize the game, think about my goals, and think about what I would like to achieve during this game.” “Before every game we go around and talk about things that we can do better on and off the court, and then we pray for the game and the other players,” Muncy expounded.
Before the game the players aren’t talking about what they’re going to do after the game, their focus is on the game, and that’s what sets them apart from the other teams.
