Lady Eagles Serve Their Last Game of the Season

On October 25, 2021, the Fair Grove Girls Volleyball team played the Strafford Lady Indians for the District Championship. 

Strafford won the first, third, and fourth sets, while Fair Grove won the second set. With an overall score of 3-1, Strafford claimed the district title. The Lady Eagles finished out their season with 13 wins, 15 losses, and 3 splits. Middle hitter Kameron Green (11), explained, “Districts went well, however, I know we all wanted to win that district championship. We got further this season than we have in a while and I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish.” 

Green finished her Junior year with the highest hitting percentage of the varsity team, having a percentage of 0.296. Green explained, “This year the team showed so many improvements from the previous years. We improved in both our win-loss record, and team chemistry.”

Green ended with, “Our team plans to work hard in the off season to prepare us for a winning season next year. With this mindset, I’m excited to see what we are going to accomplish and how much more we will improve.”

Senior Libero Chloe Reynaud ended her last high school season being the team’s defensive specialist. Reynaud got over 260 digs over the season, and over 11 perfect digs per game on average. Reynaud stated, “I think volleyball this year as a whole went well. I think we overcame some big challenges, fought hard in games, and practiced with the mindset of improving every time we touched the ball.”

Reynaud went on to explain that, while districts did not go the way the team had planned, “I am most definitely not upset with the way we played…”
