New Year, New Yearbook
February 22, 2022
Each year, the Fair Grove Yearbook Club puts together the yearbook for students to purchase. The yearbook has proven to be a big success amongst the students of Fair Grove.
The yearbook crew this year consists of Paige Robinson (12), Lance Lutrell (10), Macee McAtee (12), and Anna Newlin (12).
Stacy Beller, a FGHS English teacher, is the supervisor of the yearbook. Beller shared, “The part of the yearbook that changes every year is the theme and cover which reflects the theme. Most of the content stays the same and is current for that year.”
Robinson is one of the main editors of the yearbook. Robinson revealed, “I really love getting to make the pages. You just have the freedom to make it look however you want and it’s super fun.”
It takes the entire school year to make the yearbook. Many photos taken at basketball games, volleyball games, Homecoming, Courtwarming, Student Council (STUCO), and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) events are used in the yearbook. There are also superlatives, which are awards or “bests” given to the seniors that year.
Beller has been the supervisor of the yearbook club for most of her years at Fair Grove. She stated, “My favorite thing is knowing that we help document the history of the school.”
The yearbook has many different types of pages in the yearbook. Robinson supplied, “My favorite page that I have done in the yearbook is probably the football page. I think that the background is really neat and there were a lot of seniors this year, so the page was a bit challenging to structure but it turned out great!”
Beller’s favorite page was different. She admitted, “This is a tough question because they are all important. Students probably look their best on the prom page!”
With the school year coming to a close, this year’s yearbook will be out for purchase at the beginning of next year. The yearbook will be sold for $45 each, but you can preorder now.
