With the 2021 Supercross season kicking off on January 16th, there have been some announcements about who will be racing for each team as well as tons of rumors going around about who is racing.

The 450 class has lots of names announced already. Starting off with the Red Bull KTM team, the two riders are Cooper Webb and Marvin Musquin. They had a two man team last year and it will remain the same for this year. Marvin Musquin has one year left on his contract with this team, but’s unclear if he wants to continue racing after his contract is up. Cooper Webb won a championship title in 2019 which led him to earn a spot on the Red Bull KTM squad for many years to come.

For the Rocky Mountains team, they will have two set riders for 2021. Justin Bogle and Joey Savatgy, both confirmed riders. The team turned out a lot different than everyone expected. Justin Bogle will return to his spot. Blake Baggett got replaced by Joey Savatgy even though he had a three year contract that was supposed to end after the 2021 season. Blake and his team were “unable to reach an agreement.” We should see more details about this change in the future.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing have the first confirmed three man roster for 2021, but more teams have yet to release all of their rosters. The three riders they have on their roster are Dean Wilson, Zach Osborne, and Jason Anderson. Unlike Osborne and Anderson, Wilson will sign another contract with this team for one year. Osborne and Anderson both are active in multiple year contracts.

The family owned Team Tedder KTM have to confirm riders for their 2021 and 2022 season. Both Martin Davalos and Dakota Tedder both have multiple year contracts that they are signed under. Even though Davalos was a rookie last year; Team Tedder will bring back Davalos for another year to race in the 450 class considering his results in his rookie season. Dakota Tedder who is the son of the man who owns the team will always have a spot on the roster as long as he is able to recover from his complex wrist injury.

With all of this new information, the Supercross season should be pretty interesting this year.
