Monett Motor Speedway is a popular local track for that area where some people even travel to make it there every week. Monett is about an hour drive from Fair Grove and many people see that drive worth it.

The Monett Speedway was opened in 1970 and is believed to be the longest continuously running dirt track in Missouri.

This year’s season kicked off April 4th with a test and tune and the first race was April the 11th. They will now have had their first week of racing and their season is officially started with the plan to race every Sunday. Most tracks in our local area race on Friday or Saturday and with Monett being on a sunday it might open up a completely different crowd of racers and fans.

Monett Speedway races Late Models, B-mods, Midwest Mods, Legends, and Pure Stocks.

Admission for grandstand tickets will be $22 for adults, $20 for military/seniors, and $12 for 18 and under.

Pit passes will be $40 for adults and $20 for anyone 5 and under.

Payout to win is B-mod $400, midwest mods $250, Legends $250, and pure stocks $200. Payout isn’t what all the racers are there for but it is always a bonus to walk out with some cash in your pocket after a night of racing and fun.
