The Singing Eagles, Fair Grove’s Elementary choir, was invited to perform at the Cardinals games in Springfield (April 19th) and St. Louis (June 12th).

Cindy Sparks, the director of Singing Eagles, shared how the students are extremely excited to have the opportunity to sing at the game. From 7:15-7:45 every Wednesday, the Singing Eagles meet in the elementary music room to practice their songs and perfect them before the big show.

“I love the opportunities that the students have to sing together and in different places,” Sparks said. Performing at the Cardinals game in Springfield is an opportunity for the Singing Eagles to show how much they have been practicing and how much time they’ve had to put into it.

“We are singing The National Anthem at the Springfield Cardinals game. We will be singing Take Me Out to the Ball Game when we sing at the St Louis Cardinals game on June 12,” Sparks remarked.

In the Singing Eagles group, there are a total of 55 third and fourth graders. Their next event will be their concert on May 5th.

Lindsay Dunning, a parent of one of the Singing Eagle students, shared, “Singing Eagles has given my child a new experience. She’s been a part of several sports teams and things like that, but this is a whole new type of ‘team’ for her.”

After the Springfield Cardinals game, Dunning shared, “It was so cool seeing my child and her friends out on the field. They had so much fun and I know they will always remember that.”
