Christina Cantwell is the middle school secretary, this is her second year working in the position.

Mrs. Cantwell has many different responsibilities as the secretary, making sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. She shared, “As secretary, I am primarily responsible for keeping things rolling so that the teachers, counselor, and principal can all focus on doing their jobs. In the mornings I deal with a lot of attendance – kids being called out sick, others coming to school late – so that teachers can get a good idea of who to expect in class that day and, of course, so we can keep track of everybody here.”

“My favorite part of this job by far is being able to take care of the students and solve some of their problems that come up during the day. I think middle schoolers are so much fun and this year my son is in 5th grade so I love that I get to see him here,” Cantwell added.

The secretary is well liked throughout the middle school. The music teacher, Mrs. Harmon, exclaimed, “I love Mrs. Tina. She makes the office a fun place to be. She keeps calm, even when the office can be crazy. I try to see her at least once a day. I love working with people who become friends, not just colleagues.”

Mrs. Harmon continued, “My favorite part about working with Tina is even on days that are stressful or upsetting; she still has a smile on her face. I know she has one of the most challenging jobs in the school, and she handles it with grace and charm.”

Middle school principal Marc Green commented on the awesome job that Mrs. Cantwell has been doing in the office, “She brings high energy to the middle school office and is efficient in everything that she does. She looks after our teachers and supports them wherever possible.  Tina has an outgoing personality and I really enjoy the partnership we have established. She and Mrs. Lepold work really well together and they keep our office running smoothly.”

Mrs. Cantwell is happy to work with Mr. Green and Mrs. Lepold. She expanded, It gives me a sense of fulfillment knowing that I’m helping them do the important job of educating our students because it’s a very challenging job to do and they all do it extremely well.”

Since she arrived last year, she has been making a big imprint on the school.
