Fair Grove Middle School held the monthly assembly for Soaring Eagles Recognition on November 1st to recognize students that have been excelling in school.

Middle School Principal, Marc Green, said, “We started our Soaring Eagle recognition a few years ago as a way to celebrate our student achievement and success each month.”

The administration wanted to give students recognition and credit for their hard work. Green added that it is important to recognize the students and the staff on the hard work and the dedication they put in during the school year.

The students are picked and recognized at the ceremony by a teacher team from each grade level. Students do not know that they were selected for the Soaring Eagles Achievement until the moment their name is called at the assembly. The students are picked by teachers based on how they display behavior and citizenship attributes encouraged by the middle school.

Everyone from Fair Grove Middle School is allowed to attend the ceremony to celebrate their fellow students’ hard work and achievements. “Our teachers call up the students at the assembly and say a few words about why they were selected,” Green explained.

“This year we are recognizing multiple students at each grade level every month.” Green said. The middle school does the Soaring Eagles Recognition each month to try to motivate the middle school students to strive towards their full potential. Every month, they have the assembly and recognize the students that were picked.

Kynlee Peck (8) commented, “I think they have the soaring eagles recognition to point out the people who have good character.”

Peck furthermore added, “I do like the Soaring Eagles Recognition because it helps us be better people and have better character.”

As of last months assembly there was over 20 middle school students that were recognized for their outstanding behavior.
