The Greater Fair Grove Farmers Market is held on the second Wednesday of each month, starting in April and ending on October, 30th. Anyone is welcome to attend this Farmers Market.
Fair Grove Farmers Market is organized by Martha Weeks, Sandra Myers, and Jonathan Hayes. The Fair Grove market is set up on Old Mill Rd. Sandra Myers explained, “Usually it starts mid April, the second Wednesday of April. it depends on the weather, what venders have like this year we were very warm and had a mild winter.” Myers has been running her stand at the Fair Grove Farmers Market for 16 years.
There can be a variety of stands at the farmers market. One that is relatively new is “Hannah’s Bees”. This year was Hannah’s first year running her stand at the Fair Grove Farmers Market. At Hannah’s booth she sells, “…but as far as products, honey is definitely one of my favorites, and I really enjoy my bee’s wax rods because a lot of people don’t know what they are.”
The Fair Grove Farmers Market brings new people in and together. Hannah stated, “… this market, I feel like is a really big community. This community really supports the local people here and that’s what makes it so great.” Papa G’s, a beef jerky stand at the farmers market added, “It’s nice to meet new people.” Papa G’s stand has been selling beef jerky for three years.
Fair Grove Farmers Market is booming with lots of different stands. The Fair Grove Farmers Market explained how this organization benefits the community by strengthening and supporting the local farmers, by raising, making, and locally growing the products here. Fair Grove Micro
Fair Grove Micro Farm also has a stand that is set up at the Fair Groves Farmers Market. Jennifer explained her stand, “I’ve been selling here for four years, great community in Fair Grove, nice people.”
The Greater Fair Grove farmers market was started in the 2000, originally under the same name Fair Grove Farmers Market. It was a community project that was funded by the Fair Grove Chamber of Commerce. It used to only have very few stands, around like three to five but that has definitely grown over the years.
Stands will start to pack up soon because The Fair Grove Farmers Market will be closed on October 30, 2024 that is the last day to get any products or produce there until April of next year.
