Riley Frazier (12) a senior at Fair Grove High School, is involved in band, sports and makes an impact in a variety of clubs. Along with those activities she was also crowned the 2024 Homecoming Queen.
Frazier is a soccer player, cross country runner, wrestler, is the flute section leader in the high school band, vice president of the Fair Grove Schools National Honor Society (N.H.S.), member of the Future Teachers of America (F.T.A.), and the regional parliamentarian and chapter president for the organization Family, Community and Career Leaders of America (F.C.C.L.A.).
On Friday, October 11th, Frazier was crowned the 2024 Homecoming Queen. The other nominees were Ashton Bell (12), and Brooklyn Mauldin (12). Frazier said, “Being crowned as homecoming queen was exhilarating. The whole night felt like a fever dream.”
To become the regional parliamentarian and the chapter president of F.C.C.L.A, Frazier had to put in the time and effort to get the position. To become the regional parliamentarian Frazier had to take a F.C.C.L.A. knowledge test, prepare and perform a one to three minute speech on a given topic, and answer a situational question. To become the chapter president Frazier stated, “I had to state why I wanted the position and why I should get the position.”
Frazier’s duty as the regional parliamentarian is to oversee regional meetings, make sure the meetings are running as intended, and to be the by law committee chair. Her duty as the chapter president is to run the chapter meetings and make sure the meetings go correctly.
Frazier is a senior graduating in the year 2025. She said her favorite high school memory was, “…gaining all my leadership roles and becoming the person I am today.” Her plans after high school are to go to Ozarks Technical Community College and get a degree in dental hygiene.
One of Frazier’s soccer teammates Brooklyn Williams (12) explained, “She has the sweetest heart and always has a smile on her face. You can always count on her to make you laugh and always be there for you.” Williams’ favorite memory with Frazier was playing soccer with her. She shared, “She’s an amazing teammate to be around and always makes me laugh.”
A fellow student Gavin Brock (11) said, “If I were to describe Riley to someone that didn’t know her, I would say that she is a very hard worker and wants to get things done right. She strives to see people succeed and cares for everyone around her. Riley is a very kind person and loves to interact with the people around her as well as help out in any area she is in.”
Frazier shared how her high school experience has impacted her in a positive way, “My high school career has formed me into an outgoing and confident person. Use high school to improve yourself as a person, get involved and have fun!”
