Fellowship Of Christians Athletes is a club at Fair Grove High School. Students of this club meet in the morning with one another to connect with God and grow in their faith and religion.
FCA is a place where students can express their appreciation for their religion. In this club they share ways that God has changed them. Students participate in activities such as playing games and praying together.
Brooke Daniels (12) stated, “My favorite thing is prayer time.” Daniels said her reasoning for this is because it gives everyone an opportunity to pray for friends that don’t know God.
Zoe Baxter (9) explained, “There’s just some relatable chats and some games that show us what it’s like to walk in the Bible.” Baxter also added that one of the activities she enjoys is when they have personal talks with one another and it helps connect everyone as Christians.
Daniels’ reasoning for joining the club is because she truly believes that it changes people for the better when welcoming God into their hearts. Daniels said, “Pray for friends who don’t know God, and really have a personal conversation with the Lord.” Daniels believes that welcoming God into our school could affect it for the better.
With activities such as praying, and games that have special meanings in relation to God and the Bible, FCA welcomes everyone who wishes to accept God into their lives and to show people the Lord is with them.
Someone new will volunteer to speak at the meetings early in the mornings to show their appreciation and devotion towards God, and what the Lord has done for them. During personal conversations students are able to speak on how God has impacted them after accepting him into their lives.
FCA is a Fair Grove club who invites others to connect with God and share their experiences on how he has changed you. They meet every Thursday at 7:15 am in the high school gym.
