In the town of Fair Grove, local egg selling is booming, and the community is swift to purchase from these Fair Grove farms. The community is bringing the community together from their hard work, and commitment to food health.
The local business, Tarneisa, is a small holistic farm located in Fair Grove Missouri. The business explained their current activities, “We are focused on producing pasture-raised eggs, which are nutritious and a clean source of protein. We prioritize the health and well-being of our flock, their living environment is built with natural, untreated lumber and metal roofing and siding.”
Buying eggs locally is not only convenient, but important morally to many individuals in the consumer community, and the sellers. Pebble Dolan, an egg customer in Fair Grove, expressed her feelings on purchasing eggs. “I think it’s so important to know where our food is coming from. It’s also important for us to stimulate our local economy. Buying eggs from people supports them, it’s not just a store.”
Dolan continued on her love for the Fair Grove community, “I buy eggs locally, because I want to keep as much of my money local as possible. I love this town and want to support my neighbors in any way I can.”
Tarneisa, also adds on to the importance of serving Fair Grove customers, “The most important thing to stick out to us is our customers. We’ve met some amazing people who have reached out wanting to purchase eggs.”
Sarah Coonis, another local egg seller, described her experience. “I think it’s fun to meet locals and create relationships that normally wouldn’t have been created. We share stories, and give someone a piece of mind that they are consuming fresh eggs locally from their fellow Fair-Grovian!”
Coonis described her schedule as a seller, “I’ve had a great experience! I have about four to five people who purchase some weekly, and I have great friendships with them all!”
Tarneisa later continued about their health benefits to buying eggs locally, “More and more people want to know where their food comes from. In 2020, the pandemic exposed many breakdowns in our supply chains at the national level.” Tarneisha then expressed their commitment to the community, “Strengthening our local food supply chain benefits both the farmers and consumers in our community.”
Not only is selling, and buying eggs locally a healthy purchasing habit, it’s also a local favorite way to connect with the community, and support the local farms and people of Fair Grove.
