Fair Grove Senior Brooklyn Mauldin is finishing up her final year at Fair Grove High School, and has obtained cheer accomplishments, S.A.D.D and Student Council leadership, and has earned a Drury Cheer commitment for her years to come.
Stephanie Brown, the high school art teacher, stated, “My favorite memory of Brooklyn is watching her focus on a painting and make incredible progress in a short amount of time.” Brown continued explaining that, “She is so talented, and watching her paint and create art makes me incredibly proud of her.”
One of many extracurriculars that Mauldin is involved in is cheerleading. A fellow teammate Desiree Pollock (11), a member of the high school cheerleading team, reminisced on her favorite memory cheering with Mauldin, “My favorite memory with Brooklyn is any practice during competition season.”
Pollock continued saying how caring Mauldin is and how she is always pushing herself to do better in all that she does.
Lindsay Dunning, the high school science teacher as well as the S.A.D.D. sponsor, stated, “Brooklyn is an executive cabinet member of S.A.D.D.” As a cabinet member of S.A.D.D. Dunning listed a few of the things Mauldin does, “She helps run meetings and throw together events for our organization.”
In addition to her role in S.A.D.D. Dunning commented that Mauldin steps up to help out even when it’s not her direct responsibility.
Mauldin is also the vice president of STUCO (Student Council) and has the responsibility of assisting the president, Keith Nolan (12), and making sure everything is taken care of for school events and gatherings.
Nolan expressed that, “Brooklyn helps me with so much. She is a super big help in every way possible.” He continued to explain that Mauldin helped plan assemblies, meetings, and helped with the day to day tasks assigned.
Nolan further expressed his appreciation for Mauldin and all of her hard work that she has poured into this club while being the vice president and working alongside him, she grew to be the, “… right hand man to the president and sponsor.”
Dunning explained that Mauldin is a great student leader and that she has always seen that in herself, as well as that she believes Mauldin sees that in herself too.
A few other kind words Dunning commented about Mauldin was, “She has grown her confidence tremendously. This is going to suit her well as she leaves Fair Grove and begins adulthood.”
Brooklyn Mauldin will be graduating as a Fair Grove Senior on May 15th, receiving her high school diploma for all the hard work she has accomplished. She will be attending Drury University to continue her educational and athletic career as a cheerleader.
