Spring break is just a week away and Fair Grove Students and staff members are making plans for the eventful week.
Some people have plans that have already been set. Lindsay Dunning, High School Science teacher, explained, “I am going on a cruise. We are going to spend sometime in the Caribbean, at the beach, in the jungle, etc.”
Trilby Workman, High School Secretary, also has made plans. She shared, “This year for Spring break I am going to Indianapolis, Indiana. All four of my sisters are meeting me there and we’ll all be together for the first time in eight years.”
Brylee Mallard (10) explained, “I will not be going anywhere for spring break, since I have softball.” Mallard also spent time with her little cousin.
Mallard added, “My ideal spring break vibe would probably be hiking in the mountains near a waterfall while appreciating the nature around me.
Many people have their spring break highlights from past years. Mallard shared, “My most memorable spring break I have had, would be when my family went to the smoky mountains (and) got lost while driving and ended up in North Carolina when we started in Tennessee.”
Workman also has some past spring break highlights. She said, “I think the most memorable spring break was when I was 11. It was my first time on an airplane and I flew from the west coast all the way to Disney world to celebrate my 11th birthday. That’s the week I got the travel bug.” Which later led to Workman to start traveling more.
Workman said, “My ideal spring break vibe is any kind of travel. Going on a new adventure is what makes life exciting.”
As spring break approaches, many memories will be made and a nice week long break from school will be appreciated by many.
