On May 15th, the 2024-2025 Fair Grove seniors graduated in front of friends, family and loved ones. They began to close the book on this chapter of their lives, while not forgetting the obstacles, people, memories and most importantly who they are today along the way.
Fair Grove can have an impact on any senior that has entered its doors, from seniors who have only been here a couple of years to the ones who have been here their whole lives. Fair Grove and especially the students and staff within it can have an impact on who a senior is today.
Tobie Garcia (12), a graduating senior who is going to be attending Ozark Technical Community College explained how Fair Grove has personally changed her for the better, “I personally think that I have matured a lot more as I have grown here in Fair Grove, not only as a person but as a memory for other people to look up to as I leave this place I love to call home.”
Christian Overstreet, the Fair Grove High School Principal, described the impact that the graduating class has had on him as they grew up around him, “This group has taught me the true value of being a great teammate. I’ve had the privilege of watching them grow up—some since they were small—and over the years, I’ve seen them become more than just talented individuals.”
Overstreet added, “They’ve become young men and women who constantly put others first, who support and encourage, who hold each other accountable with respect and care. They’ve shown that being a great teammate isn’t just about sports—it’s about how you show up for people, how you lead with empathy, and how you celebrate others’ success as much as your own. Their example has reminded me that real strength isn’t in what you accomplish alone, but in how you lift up the people around you.”
Overstreet described how the 2024-2025 seniors have always brought their involvement, character and overall passion for Fair Grove that no other alumni class has brought before.
Overstreet further explained how the 2025 class departure will not only affect Fair Grove school but the community as a whole, “The departure of this senior class will leave a significant mark on Fair Grove. They’ve not only achieved a great deal, but they’ve led with humility, determination, and character. Their presence has elevated our school’s expectations—both in how we define success and how we treat one another.”
The graduating class has come a long way since their original start at Fair Grove, from overcoming obstacles and challenges the seniors have shaped and changed into the people they are today. Amber Clemens (12), a graduating senior also attending Ozark Technical Community College stated what she would tell her younger self, “You may feel alone now, but believe it or not you will meet kind and hardworking individuals that you will call your friends, better worded your second family. In 10 years, this school will be a place you can’t imagine not coming to. Your life will change so much in the next 10 years, and you will find that you are right where you belong.”
