Fair Grove High School has been home to the class of 2026 since 2015. Before continuing to the real world including college and starting careers, the seniors have been staying busy and finding some ways to finish out the year.
The class of 2026 has been keeping up with multiple activities, having their Senior Sunrise on August 22nd and Senior Sports Banner photos on August 21st. Some of the senior girls even spent time painting senior jeans and painting their cars making some final last day of school memories.
The seniors go through a lot of emotions including excitement, gratefulness, and bittersweetness. Dylan George (12), said his highs and lows of being a senior, “Highs of being a senior for me would be having an open schedule which is relaxing and leaves time for leadership opportunities, I get to hang out with my A+ kids every day and they have become my favorite class of the day, lows are the fact that the fun of high school is coming to an end, my time with my A+ kids is also short.”
Carson Trussell (12), added, “The highs are that life is so easy as a senior, lows include almost being done with high school with your buddies”.
The seniors are months away from graduating and being free adults and getting to explore and try new opportunities in their lives. Brenna Boatwright (12), expressed how she felt about graduating this year, “Super excited and ready for the next chapter.”
Trussell added how it felt to be graduating this year, “Obviously very weird, but I’ve done my time. We all have to grow up one day. I just hoped to have spread the word of God and show people I care about them.”
When graduating high school some of the seniors had some advice to give to incoming high schoolers, Trussell said, “Make the most of every year, don’t stress over tests and homework. The Lord has your back and it’s all gonna work out. Also look out for yourself, coaches are gonna push you and you’re gonna push you, but you gotta look out for yourself.”
With about eight months left of the school year, the seniors continue to finish out their final school year in hopes of making many new and final memories and accomplishments of their high school career.
