Last spring Masters’ was given the opportunity to help the high school track team by coaching hurdles. Girls high school head track coach, Lindsay Martin, expressed, ¨Coach Masters has been a fantastic addition to our coaching staff! She has added a dynamic knowledge and understanding of how to coach hurdles and an expansive list of hurdle techniques.¨
Masters shared. “Coaching hurdles is something I never thought that I would be able to do in my life, but so far it has been a very rewarding experience.¨ She continued, ¨I feel like I am able to continue to build relationships with more students at Fair Grove, and be able to teach something I absolutely love!¨
Another thing Masters has helped with is the Good News Club which was introduced her first year teaching at Fair Grove. The club was started by the Child Evangelism Fellowship, which is based in Warrington, Missouri.
The Good News Club is a club to help students learn about the gospel. With the permission of their parents, kids stay after school and learn about the gospel with teachers and other students. The kids study the bible, eat snacks, play games, and sing songs. Masters expressed, ¨It’s been a fun opportunity to get to know more students of Fair Grove, but to also build connections through the support of scripture.¨
Masters´ goal for every year is to be better at everything, no matter what the circumstances are. She shared, ¨Even in seasons of hardship… push forward one step at a time.¨
This is Masters third year teaching at Fair Grove, and being a part of the Fair Grove community. Masters expressed,¨Fair Grove schools is hands-down, the best school and district that I have ever had the privilege to be a part of.¨
