Gavin Letterman, freshman at Fair Grove for the 2025-2026 school year, is part of the Fair Grove High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Football team. He plays defensive tackle and left guard for the team.
Letterman joined Fair Grove during the 2024-2025 school year and has been in football ever since. He has a lot of challenges this season that he has to overcome. Letterman shared, “…the pace of the game is a lot faster,” he continued, “… remembering all of the plays and what you’re supposed to do in your first year is sort of hard, but I will adjust.”
Dylan George (12) plays on the Fair Grove football team as a Defensive lineman. He plays with Letterman and sees all the time how well he performs and how much potential he holds.
“Gavin has been a big part of our team in practice,” George expressed. “… I have seen first hand the role Gav (Letterman) plays by giving us a varsity look at practice.” Letterman and the team are looking forward to a successful season.
This is Letterman’s first year in high school and he realizes the differences between high school and middle school football. Letterman explained, “I definitely think high school football will be different from middle school football.” He added, “I have already noticed a lot of things like the pace of the game and the people are bigger, faster and stronger.”
Letterman looks forward to getting better at the game, and working with great people. He wants to start on varsity in the coming years as well.
Letterman has made a name for himself at Fair Grove High School. He’s involved with sports and has the support of his friends. He hopes to get better at the game, and looks forward to learning more about football and growing in the sport as a whole.
