Middle School Serves Seniors at Luncheon
December 10, 2014
With Thanksgiving fast approaching, we think more about showing appreciation . The Fair Grove students showed their appreciation by hosting the annual senior citizen lunch in. Mrs. Buckner explains “ The lunch was for serving the community, and to thank senior citizens for their support of our school.”
Middle school ambassadors met and greeted the guests at the door, then proceeded to show them to their seat. Ryan Icenhower explains, “I like getting to know my elders, I really appreciate them.” Dr. link thanked them and gave a speech before the food was served. The ambassadors then served every guest their thanksgiving meal with a welcoming smile.
Middle school ambassador Cooper Garton stated “It was fun, I got to meet and talk to seniors, they were very funny and also nice.”Meanwhile the kindergarten students sang thanksgiving songs with Mrs. Sparks playing piano. When the kindergarten was finished the singing eagles performed a few songs as well. To take the program to a close the high school choir sang “bless this house.”
