On Friday December 12, 2014, Mr. Foster portrayed Santa Claus for the elementary kids. Since Santa was very busy, Mr. Foster offered to be Santa’s representative. Mr. Foster states, “I really like being Santa because red looks really good on me and I can never really grow a beard this hip.”

“Santa” traveled from classroom to classroom throughout the elementary school asking the children what they wanted for Christmas. Makayla Stieneke, a kindergartener in Mrs.Garcia’s class, exclaimed, “I was happy to see Santa and I got to take a picture with him!” Makayla also explained that she told Santa she was very nice to her brother and sister, and for Christmas she asked Santa for a stuffed animal owl and a stuffed Elsa pillow.

Mr. Foster, who has been Santa representative for ten years, stated, “The weirdest thing a kid has ever asked for, who was like six, asked for a Chevy Camaro. I thought he was talking about a hot wheel, but no, he wanted the real car.”

In addition to Mr. Foster, Ms. Findley and Mrs. Peck also joined in on the fun as Ms. Claus and an elf.
