Fair Grove Gets a New High School Principal

Jorden Stacey, Asst. Middle School

Chris Stallings will fill the job of the 2015-2016 High School Principal. Mr. Stallings has held many other positions in the school: four years High School assistant principal, Curriculum Director, A+ Coordinator, two years Middle School Principal, along with one year assistant softball and 5 years of assistant baseball.

Mr. Stallings will be filling the spot as High School Principal in place of Mike Bell, who will be taking over the spot as Superintendent. Mr. Stallings states that he is extremely blessed to be given this opportunity. “Mr. Bell has done an incredible job and can’t be replaced, but I hope to step in and keep Fair Grove going in the right direction.”

Mr. Bell says that he thinks Mr. Stallings is the ideal person to lead Fair Grove as the Principal. “He is a proven, high character educator who truly cares about our kids and the fact that they deserve an exceptional education,” he further explains. “I enjoy working with Mr. Stallings because he is a compassionate person leader devoted to helping students and our school become successful.”

Shyan Proctor (9) is happy that Mr. Stallings is the new High School Principal. “He is involved in a lot of the High School sports so I think it will be good for him to be involved in the academic side of things.”

“Without a doubt the hardest thing about moving out of the middle school is leaving behind a dedicated and caring staff,” says Mr. Stallings. He explains that the teachers, secretaries, counselors, and supports staff has been really good for him and fortunately for him they will be right down the hall, but he is looking forward to the broader responsibility that comes with working at the high school level.
