As the 2015 school year is coming to an end so are spring sports they play which includes girls soccer. Jordan Robertson, a graduating senior, shares that overall the season was successful. “I feel like we have made the most out of our season coming together as a new team.” With it being her last year of soccer Jordan also admits that she is sad it is over but that she has thoroughly enjoyed getting to play with the (soccer) girls under the coaching of Florez.
With districts starting May 19th, another senior, Claire Foster says that they have been preparing for districts by practicing throughout this season as well as a playing few tournaments. “In our tournaments we have gone against a few bigger schools and it has really prepared us for upcoming districts,” she adds. “I am very excited for districts. Being that this is my senior year I feel like there is a lot of pressure to do well and work my absolute hardest.”
“This season overall has been pretty good there are definitely some new schools we went up against that gave us some competition,” Claire Foster tells, “but overall we have won more that we have lost. I feel like our talent has improved a lot and will follow into next year. Sadly, I will be gone by then.” Hoping to finish off on a high note, they appear to be on the right path. Haileigh Houston, a junior at Fair Grove, states that on May 7th, they got the best record in Fair Grove girls history with 16 wins and 6 losses which is much better than the previous years.
