Fair Grove’s 2015 Football Homecoming was held October 9th against the Ash Grove Pirates. While the Eagles lost 17-7, the school still participated in spirit week to get students excited about both the game that followed, and the dance that many students would participate in.

Homecoming week kicked off with Mismatched Monday. Many students showed off their mismatched clothes and shoes to add to the fun of homecoming week. The next day was Twin Tuesday, which had the whole Fair Grove staff dressed entirely the same. Wednesday brought out the Wild West and captured the boots, bandanas, and flannel of Fair Grove. Then Throwback Thursday got all the old styles to come out at school. Lastly, Fair Grove Friday got everyone in the spirit and ready to cheer for the game by covering the school with purple attire.
Friday was also the day FBLA held the Powder Puff Football game to introduce all of the the homecoming candidates.

Friday night, the ladies of the homecoming court were escorted down the field to see who would be crowned the 2015 Homecoming Queen. First onto the field was Freshmen princess, Harley Maxwell, followed by Sophomore princess, Jordan Coddington, who was then followed by the Junior princess, Devon Stimpson. The Senior Queen candidates then followed. First was Cheyann Hopkins, escorted by Derek Lampe and Tyler Guthrie, and following, was Angelina Vasquez, escorted by Nathan Mallard and Travis Beach, and Bailey Weaver, escorted by Kyle Colvard and Joe Caudle. Last year’s 2014 Queen, Kayli Coddington, also joined the court to crown Weaver as the 2015 Queen.
Weaver says her favorite part was being able to represent her school and her class at the football game. She also comments that it felt like an honor to be voted into the court by her peers, especially because she feels she isn’t one to dress up and be girly. Weaver adds, “It is so cool that I was chosen to do this and it will be something I always remember.”
