On October 6th after the Eagles took down the Ash Grove Pirates 49-7 Fair Grove’s own Jon Foster hosted 5th quarter. “5th quarter was a chance for students to eat free, have fun, and have an opportunity to make a commitment to Jesus,” Foster stated. To start Fifth quarter off all 150 students that came made their way to pizza and games! The new “Big Ball Of Death” game became a hit as teams were split into 2 based on the student’s birth months. The object of the game was to lift up the big ball of death to see which team could hit the other team’s wall first!

After eating all the pizza you could ever want, and finding a little competitiveness within a few fun games the students then were sat down to talk about a more life changing/serious subject. Christian Overstreet, Fair Grove High School Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, was asked to give his testimony and to let the students know what Jesus is to him in his own life. After Overstreet’s testimony around 10 students responded to give their lives to Christ for the first time, and around 30 students decided to make a deeper commitment with their relationship with Jesus Christ. “To see students giving God glory for what he has done for them through his son Jesus Christ was one of the best things about 5th quarter in my opinion,” Foster said. Overall the students got to have a free, fun, and life changing night at 5th quarter. “I loved getting to spend time with my friends in a fun game of Big Ball Of Death, and getting to see some of the students in my school find their way to Jesus Christ,” Cydney Fullerton (11) said.
