MS Girls Basketball Prepares for Season

The Middle School’s Girls Basketball team is made up of a 7th grade team and an 8th grade team. Both teams are working hard this season. There are 16 total girls on the middle school Girls Basketball team. When asked how the season was going, the middle school Girls Basketball Coach, Mrs. Green said, “The girls have been working very hard. We’ve improved each game.”
Some leaders on the 7th grade team, according to Green, are Kameron Green and Mikah Edwards. The five starters on the 7th grade basketball team are Kameron Green, Mikah Edwards, Savanna Luna, Jaelah McDannald, Lauren Thomlinson. This years 7th grade Girls Basketball Team’s record is 3-1.
The 8th grade basketball team is also working hard as well. Coach Green said that two leaders on the 8th grade team, are Bradi Weaver and Chloe Reynaud. On the 8th grade team, the five starters are Bradi Weaver, Chloe Reynaud, Paige Robinson, Kaci Collins, Haily Hulette.
The 7th and 8th grade teams are working their hardest this season. The warm up before the games like they do in practice. Coach Green says, “We try to practice like we are going to play in a game. Hard, smart and game-speed.”
Both of the Middle Schools Girls Basketball team practice after school. Coach Green stated that everyone in the conference is a competitor to both, the 7th and the 8th Grade Girls Basketball team. When asked what competitions the teams have, Coach Green answered, “Stockton, Clever, Skyline, Ash Grove with Pleasant Hope coming up next.” The Girls Basketball team next game is Monday the 13th. The game is away at Marionville at 5:30pm., and there will only be an 8th grade game.
