Technology Has Improved Your Life (Pro)

Preston Thompson

Almost everything in your life is dependant on technology. This could range from relationships which rely on phones and internet to your food on the table which is processed and shipped. Even education and care-taking are all reliant on technology and its progression forward. The effects of technology on our society have improved efficiency, decreased death rates, and increased the quality of life. History has shown that technology is a vital part of improving a civilization. This can be seen by the effects of electricity, and later, the invention of the computer.

The argument against technology has always been based around the effects of technology use on the mind. The easy access to things that can disconnect you from reality is thought to negatively affect developing minds in such ways like poor social skills and irregular emotional responses. The faults of the mind can not be blamed entirely on technology but on the user and the ability to regulate themselves. It can be a difficult to control the addiction that technology can be become which is why society must take steps to control innovation so that it is not the thing shaping our society. We should regulate and moderate the rate that technology advances and know how it could affect our society. Anything can become harmful without concern for quantity.

Everyday life has been streamlined due to advancements in technology. Your coffee is easier to make, the latest news is either being viewed on the tv or right on your phone. You can research anything by simply typing it into a search engine. You can communicate with anyone in the world in a matter of seconds. Technology has become an integral part of everyday life because of the benefits it provides to every man, woman, and child. The negatives are only due to a constant overuse and lack of self-restraint.
