Fair Grove FBLA Dominates State To Reach FBLA Nationals
April 15, 2018
The FBLA Leadership Team competed at state on April 8th, 9th, and 10th. At the competition the students either conducted an event and then wrote a 15 page report regarding the event, or took a test about a certain category regarding some major topics in FBLA. The sponsors of the FBLA team are both teachers Sandra Robinson and Cayse Overstreet at Fair Grove High School. “The students prepared by rehearsing their presentations. Objective test takers studied study materials provided by FBLA” said Sandra Robinson. Cydney Fullerton, Logan Holliman, Ryah Icenhower all worked together to compete in The Community Service Project. They placed 6th overall in this event. “This is one of the most competitive events in Missouri FBLA. The Competition is fierce and the projects are diverse. Placing 6th in state is a major achievement, as they competed against many projects, all with great messages of service and servitude.” says Robinson.
Brystol Bates got 3rd place in Advertising at the conference and will be moving on to nationals. “I hope that I will do good at Nationals because it is a huge honor to be going. I am very excited that I have this opportunity and I can’t wait to go!” said Bates. Also moving on to Nationals is Holly Lemon and Ashlee Gallinger in Partnership with Business. “I am very proud of all the hard work our students put forth inside and outside of the classroom. This is the first time we have been to Nationals in years, so I couldn’t be more proud of these guys.” said Overstreet. The girls will be competing on June 8th through July 1st at Nationals in Baltimore.
