The Fair Grove school district is raging with school spirit this year. With the new motto “#ENERGYBUS”, the students and staff are taking school pride and enthusiasm to the next level. Senior, Harley Maxwell, Pep Club president, stated, “We’re just trying to get everyone to enjoy their time at school, and get involved with their friends.” Fair Grove is making their 2018-2019 school year one to remember.

The students are participating in “High Five Friday”. The football players stand outside the elementary doors and give the kiddos walking inside a high five. Also Fair Grove is having “Fair Grove Friday,” so all students are encouraged to wear purple every Friday for the remainder of this school year, and years to come.

The high school also started a new committee called “PAC,” which stands for Principal’s Advisory Committee. The six students in PAC go around the high school showing a video to all of the advisory classes in effort to create a discussion about topics the students feel is important. After every video students are asked questions about how to better themselves, and also their school. Darin Oplotnik (11), said, “I joined PAC because I think it’s a great display of school spirit, and I enjoy seeing the impact it makes on other people.”

The idea of the “Energy Bus” came from the administration. They wanted to students to get more involved, and excited to come to school. “It’s great to be an Eagle,” High School Principal, Chris Stallings stated.

Harley Maxwell (12), said, “It really pumps me up as an athlete when I hear everyone getting hyped.” Senior Elijah Young also added, “Getting everyone to come to the games to support is a lot of fun, and I enjoy seeing everyone involved.”

The Fair Grove Eagles are full of school spirit this year and are encouraged to participate in school functions. Macey Stallings (12) said, “The 2018-2019 school year is going to be full of energy and positivity, and a lot of participation from the student body.”
