Week of October 29th Sports Update

Tuesday the 29th, volleyball played their last game of the season against Strafford, losing the game (0-2) which concluded their 2019-2020 volleyball season (25-15). The volleyball team had a below average season, their winning percentage was 20% lower than last year. They won about 57% of their games (source MSHAA.)
Soccer vs Laquey originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 29th was rescheduled to Wednesday, October 30th at Waynesville High School on their turf field due to wet field conditions. Soccer vs Laquey played their last game before the Class 1 District 6 Tournament on Wednesday taking home another loss with final score of (0-3). The Class 1 District 6 Tournament begins November 5th at Lake Country vs New Covenant Academy.
On Friday, Fair Grove’s undefeated football team played their first game in the Class 2 State Tournament against Butler at home. Fair Grove acquired another victory with the final score of (56-6). Their next game will be on November 8th at 7:00 pm at Versailles.
Saturday, cross country had a meet at Warrensburg. No runners qualified for state, which concludes Fair Grove’s 2019-2020 cross country season.
