Dallas County Speedway

Dallas County Speedway is a nice ¼ mile dirt track located in small town Urbana, Missouri. This track hosts races for the USRA B-Mods, USRA Street Car, Midwest Mods, Pure Stock, and Mini Stock cars. Urbana is a very tight track meaning that the corners are very sharp and sudden; the track is also very heavily banked meaning there is a large incline to the track. Due to the challenges of the track, it can really show the skill of a driver and their ability to set up a car, or it can reveal how inexperienced a new driver is.

Any time I’ve gone to this track I had decent experiences there. The only thing I’ve had issues with is trying to find seating. That seems to be the main problem because the seating is very limited and also slightly sketchy. There are wooden, bleacher type chairs built into the ground and plenty of grassy areas to set out lawn chairs or lay out blankets. On the back stretch of the track they have an area where people can back their vehicles up to the fence to watch the race. There are also spots for lawn chairs to be put out, along with a very small set of bleachers.

The track holds together pretty well with only small amounts of breaking up, along with having decently clean racing. I enjoy going to this track because it is a very wholesome track with a nice, laid back feel to it. Admission is: Adults 16-60 $10.00, Seniors 60+ $8.00, Children 8-15 $5.00, under 8 FREE, and all Veterans receive free admission to the grandstand. Admission for the pits is $25.00 for pit crew, $10.00 for 6-12, and drivers get in free.
