Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) put together their annual Holiday Gram fundraiser to spread Christmas cheer throughout the school among the students and faculty.
All throughout the year PTO hosts many events and fundraisers to improve our school. “We have fundraisers throughout the year including a Daughter Dance, Son + 1 Event, Holiday Shop, and School Carnival just to name a few,” stated Ashley Monday, a member of PTO.
Monday explained, “It’s a group of parents and teachers who work together to raise funds to help our Fair Grove schools.” Fair Grove has had many different PTO fundraisers and activities for the students, parents, and even the community of Fair Grove. They have had many projects that they put on throughout the year including the Holiday Grams. The grams are a nice way to spread Christmas cheer through positive words.
Every December PTO hosts a fundraiser each year to raise money to be able to purchase items for the school and teachers. “Most candy cane grams are from students to other students/teachers or from parents to their children,” explained Monday.
The Holiday Grams also come with a piece of paper attached to the candy cane. It allows the students to write a special message to the receiver of the gram. After the staff members have already put together the Holiday grams they are ready to be delivered to the student or teacher that it’s assigned to go to.
Monday announced, “Candy Cane Grams will be delivered by the Grinch on December 7.” The grinch will be going from class to class giving Holiday Grams to the students who ordered them or who have had a Holiday Gram sent to them.
“Several PTO members worked to get the candy cane candy grams cut, taped, and ready for delivery,” said Moday. According to Ashley the PTO volunteers then attach the tags and sort the Holiday Grams for delivery.
“The kids enjoy sending and receiving candy cane grams each year,” stated Monday. The annual Holiday Gram hosted by the PTO works to spread Christmas spirit here at Fair Grove schools.
