Senior Stephanie Dunham (12) has impacted many lives through her determined, kind, and faithful spirit during her high school career.
Dunham is very involved at Fair Grove. She participates in Color Guard as Guard Captain, Student Council as Student Body President, National Honors Society as President, and Speech and Debate as the Publicity Manager.
One of Dunham’s favorite memories comes from her time in Color Guard, she stated, “I would have to say that my favorite memory from High School would be not one single memory but a multitude of memories made through doing Color Guard for the past 4 years. Performing alongside some of my best friends has produced some of the best life long memories I could not have had anywhere else.”
Outside of school, Dunham is involved in her church where she serves on the Worship Team. Dunham’s faith is very important to her, she said advice she would give to someone is, “…to sincerely and wholeheartedly follow God. Giving your life over to God is the best and most important decision you could ever make.”
Alyssa Faubion (10) explained how Dunham has helped her, “For starters, she has helped me grow in my faith a lot. Whether it be at Youth Group, Bible studies, or even just during school days, I know we can always talk about our faith. Not only that, she also always encourages me and has given me great advice that continues to help me with everyday things throughout the long run!”
Dunham has been an inspiration to others, Addison Zittle (12) said, “Steph to me is an inspiration and a really great friendship that I cherish…She always has great advice, she is so caring and kind to everyone.”
After high school Dunham plans to attend Evangel University to major in Social Work with a minor in Psychology in the Church. After graduating college she plans to work within a church as a therapist and counselor for the youth.
Dunham will enter college with a total of about 25 to 30 college credits as a freshman. While in high school she took many dual credit classes to help her advance for college, Dunham said, “As for Senior year I have taken three online classes so far all dual credit. Along with that I have taken College Algebra, Government, and College English in person all dual credit. My whole mindset behind this is to do the work while it is easier and cheaper now rather than have to do it later.”
All of the credit for her success can’t just go to her, Dunham stated, “There is one specific person that I would like to thank, that being my Mom. She has wholeheartedly supported me in everything I have done throughout high school. I am truly thankful for her supporting me through everything even when it was hard to. She is my hero and I will be forever grateful for all she has done for me.”
