As the year proceeds to graduation, SADD and Senior Class President Piper Logan (12) continues to lead, cheer, and use her talents everyday at Fair Grove High School. Through her dedication and kind spirit, she has impacted many of her classmates around her.
Logan, being very involved in her school, participates in activities such as Cheerleading, Art Club, National Honors Society (NHS), Student Council, and Student Against Destructive Decisions (SADD).
One of Logan’s favorite memories from SADD was from Buckle Up Buttercup Day. Logan said, “If people were buckled when leaving school, they got a peanut butter cup! It was super fun to see how happy people got when they got their peanut butter cups, and also fun to see how panicked people got trying to buckle up before leaving the school parking lot. Also, the peanut butter cups were incredibly delicious.”
According to Hailey Merillat (12), Logan is well known for her kind and loving spirit. “She never hesitates to give a helping hand and express her opinions/ thoughts in the most gentle way possible. She also has never failed to make me feel loved and appreciated,” stated Merillat.
Hannah Bruner (12) said, “She has impacted my life in every way that a person can affect another. She has been my support system, and one of my best friends, never changing who she is throughout the years.”
Following graduation, Logan has many plans after high school. She plans to attend Missouri State University (MSU) to major in Nursing and minor in Spanish. Logan explained, “In my future I want to be a pediatric nurse, or possibly a NICU nurse or a Labor and Delivery Nurse, and I just love learning Spanish and love being able to communicate with everyone, and help everyone to feel special and loved.”
One of Logan’s favorite high school memories was from her sophomore year Courtwarming. Logan stated, “It was my first true dance and I felt it was my first true high school experience where I got to have fun with all of my friends and dance and sing.”
Merillat reminisces on the first memories of Logan by stating, “Piper offered me the seat next to her so that I wouldn’t be alone and would have someone to talk to. We spent the rest of the track meet talking, laughing, and having many memorable conversations. Since that day Piper and I have been inseparable and she’s been one of the most important people in my life.”
As graduation rolls around the corner, Piper Logan’s high school experience comes to a close. She leaves behind a long list of memories and determination from Fair Grove High School as she transitions to a post high school life.
