As Fair Grove High School rings in the New Year, many different New Years Resolutions have been made all around the world.
All over the school there are a variety of resolutions that the students have made. Jaiden Straw (10) said, “My resolution is to eat a healthier diet.” This resolution tends to be very popular.
Lindsay Dunning, a science teacher at Fair Grove High School, had a little different thought on resolutions. Dunning said, “I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions…at least not in January. You see, I am kind of like a bear; and this is hibernation season.”
Straw also wishes to work out more and put on some muscle this year. He believes that he will be able to stick to his resolutions this year because they are fairly simple resolutions to keep up on.
Dunning thinks that she will be unable to keep a resolution that she makes in January. The only things that she said that she could resolve to do is sleep a lot and stay warm in January. She doesn’t like to make resolutions in January because she doesn’t like to fail.
Keeping with your resolutions can sometimes prove to be difficult. With hard work and dedication these resolutions can be met and kept. Straw explained, “My plan to diet will help me tremendously in the long run. This is because it will help set me up to lose lots of weight while still putting in muscle.”
People’s resolutions can change throughout the year. Dunning said, “Ask me again in March. I’ll probably say something about paddleboarding or something.”
There are different ways that people have to plan for their resolutions. Straw plans on accomplishing this by planning his meal that he eats on a weekly basis.
Planning and dedication meet hand in hand in keeping the resolutions in and around Fair Grove High School.
