Fair Grove High School is hosting their annual Courtwarming dance on February 10, at 7 p.m. in the lower elementary gym.
In addition to the dance, the Fair Grove Boys Basketball team played a victorious game against the Forsyth Panthers the night before the dance. The team secured the win against the Panthers with a score of 75 to 48. Prior to the game the Courtwarming queen was decided.
The three queen candidates for the 2024 Courtwarming dance were seniors Grace Trehal, Brigid Woods, and Hannah Maxwell. Trehal said, “I have had to find a dress to wear, which has taken a while because it is quite the process to find the right one.”
Woods stated, “To prepare for Courtwarming there are honestly a lot of little details that go into the process but some of the most important parts of the process is finding the right dress and accessories to match.”
Maxwell commented, “For courtwarming I have been scheduling appointments for my hair and getting my dress for the dance. Along with getting accessories too.”
Student Body Vice President, Keith Nolan (10) stated, “Expectations were high for this year’s Courtwarming dance at Fair Grove. As Vice President of Student Council I was assigned to two different committees. I was put in charge of the flowers for the court and the backdrop where everyone can take photos. I got together with my committees and planned everything out. Deciding all of the fine details and how we wanted everything to go. It is my job to make sure that the committees run smoothly and that everything gets taken care of.”
Maxwell shared, “I hoped that there was going to be a DJ and that we all could have a fun time and that everyone would make smart decisions that night and stay safe as well.” Maxwell went on to say that she hoped this year’s courtwarming would be a good one.
The Fair Grove’s 2024 Courtwarming dance was held on February 10 at 7 p.m in the lower elementary gym. The dance brought the dance’s theme, Hollywood’s Red Carpet, to Fair Grove’s students and faculty.
