Nathanael Padgett is not only a father and a husband, but is also a local photographer in Fair Grove. His social media account, GoFairGrove, houses photos captured by Padgett from school sporting games and community events.
Padgett is not the only one who takes photos and clips for his website and social media accounts. In fact, his wife, Christa Padgett, had been the videographer for the 2023 and 2024 Lady Eagles Basketball season. She takes highlight reels for players while Padgett handles the photography side of things.
Padgett has six children, two of them currently attending Fair Grove High School. One of his daughters, Emma Padgett (11) said, “My dad has taught me many life lessons and we’ve had so many good memories. With him running the GoFairGrove page, it has helped me with my creativity. Taking pictures with him or for him is, and also will be, good bonding time for me and him since it is something that we both enjoy doing together.”
Emma built on her previous statement by adding, “My dad has affected my life greatly. I thank God every day for him helping put me in this world and getting to be his daughter. I’m very proud of him and all he does to support me and my dreams. He has positively affected my life in more ways than I can count.”
Padgett started taking photos for Fair Grove back in 2012 whenever his nieces and nephews attended Fair Grove schools. Padgett explained, “Back then photos weren’t as prevalent as they are now online, so we were one of the few posting stuff about Fair Grove events. Quality smartphone cameras didn’t exist back then, so having a photographer/videographer at events meant we could provide quality content for parents and kids to enjoy later.”
Padgett added, “We’re thrilled to be considered a MSHSAA media outlet, which gives us better access to sporting events to capture and report on how Fair Grove athletes are doing.”
Aside from photography, Padgett has also found enjoyment in website development, computer programming, and he’s a FAA certified remote pilot meaning that he is certified to fly drones for commercial purposes.
