Many students, faculty, staff, and community members in Fair Grove celebrated and rejoiced for Easter on March 31, 2024.
Every family celebrates Easter in a different way. Cayse Overstreet, Fair Grove High School Marketing Teacher stated, “Our family usually has an Easter egg hunt inside or outside (depending on the weather) and then we go to our church. We then typically have a family lunch or dinner.”
Stephanie Brown, Fair Grove High School Art Teacher celebrated by saying, “We will wake up with the kids going through their Easter basket goodies, then go to church. Normally, we would go down to West Plains to spend time with family and do an egg hunt. It’s also a time to enjoy my family, dye Easter eggs, and hide them for my children.”
To some community members, Easter is more than just a holiday, Overstreet said, “This day is so special to our family, and other Christians because this is the day Jesus rose from the grave and fulfilled his mission of being the ultimate sacrifice for His children.”
Although Easter has a deep meaning to some, it can also be a day to celebrate the beginning of spring and warm weather.
