The sports of Fair Grove Middle School have been wrapping up their seasons and these student athletes continue to persevere. Their coaches have been able to guide them and help them learn throughout the season.
Fair Grove’s Middle School Coach Ryan Highstreet coaches 8th grade boys basketball. Highstreet said, “I enjoy coaching basketball and the strategies that are detailed within the game.”
The first 8th grade middle school boys basketball game was on December 18th. Highstreet explained throughout the season games and practices he can see the progress his athletes are making, “I look forward to seeing the athletes get better each day as they prepare for high school basketball.”
Fair Grove’s Middle School Football season has ended and the 8th grade middle school football team were able to have some wins in the season. Their win against Buffalo on September 26th ended with a score of 32-14. Both middle school boy teams finished with a season record of 2-3.
The 8th grade middle school girls volleyball team took off the season with a majority of wins, their last game was on October 8th with the score 2-0 and overall they finished the season with a 10-2 record. On the 7th grade team, they were able to finish their season with a 5-7 record.
The girls basketball team this season had a series of big competitors and still finished with a majority of wins. The 7th grade middle school girls basketball team ended their season with a 9-1 record and the 8th grade team finished 7-4. The 8th graders who will be playing high school basketball next year are hoping to continue their legacy throughout the upcoming seasons.
The Fair Grove Middle School has concluded most of their sports for the fall and winter seasons, except for boy’s basketball. Their next game is on January 15th, against Buffalo. The sports that have finished their seasons provided opportunities for students to develop their skills and grow as a team.
