Greta Arnett (12) is an involved student and leader at Fair Grove High School. She is currently Fair Grove’s Future Farmers of America chapter president and participates in volleyball.
Gretta Morris (12), also an FFA member and classmate of Arnett’s, stated, “Working with Greta Arnett has been a huge blessing. Greta and I can work really well together… Greta is super hard working and has great passion for what she does and she works hard at everything she does. Working with Greta is always a blessing.”
Morris continued, “For example, when Greta has a lot going on being the president in FFA, she is still set out to make sure that everybody has what they need and will answer any questions you may have. She also makes sure that everyone is participating and getting their fair share. Greta is an outstanding FFA president and I have learned so many qualities by not just being her vice president but her best friend.”
Arnett spoke on her role as FFA president, “As president of the Fair Grove FFA Chapter, my role requires me to take charge, have responsibility, and to preside over meetings that are held. I plan events, make meeting agendas, represent FFA, and encourage members to participate. I also communicate with my FFA advisors, Mr. Johnston and Mr. Crutcher, about things that need to be done. Fellow FFA officers come to me for advice, and I come to them when something needs to be accomplished.”
As well as being FFA president, Arnett also participated in FFA competitions. She said, “The thing that helped me prepare for my competitions was to always hold myself accountable for doing the best job I could do. I have competed in Livestock Judging, Soils, and Meat Evaluation.”
Cole Johnson, an advisor of FFA and agriculture teacher, also stated, “Greta Arnett is passionate about her role as an FFA member and as our FFA President. She is highly organized, is not afraid to get her hands dirty, and has a way of inspiring others to have the same hard working attitude that she does. She is highly motivated to make everything a quality event and takes pride in her work.”
