On Tuesday, November 4th, the Fair Grove High School choir performed their very first concert of the year. The choir has been practicing since the beginning of September just to prepare for their fall concert. Senior choir member, Anthony Campanelli explains, “It was really fun to finally perform in front of an audience after practicing for so long.”

The choir sang an arrangement of multiple songs including: “Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel?,” “And This Shall Be For Music,” “J’entends Le Moulin,” “Sixteen Tons, You Are My Music,” and “America The New Colossus.” All of the pieces were beautifully sung and were a quality representation of all the hard work that goes into the concert. Sophomore, Sadie Risner shares that her favorite of the pieces was America The New Colossus. Sadie says, “[It] was my favorite because we have improved a lot on it and we were loud which sounded good.”

The choir will now prepare for their many other performances. They will be singing at the Washington DC Payment, Veteran’s Day Assembly, Thanksgiving Lunch Assembly, and Christmas Concert. Skylar Powers shares, “ Our Christmas concert will be December 12th at 7:00 pm in the upper elementary gym. We would love to have everyone come out and support us.”
