The Middle School Boys’ basketball team had their tournament in Fair Grove from Wednesday, February 11th to Saturday the 14th. Their season ended with the 7th grade boys going 8-6 and the 8th grade boys going 3-10. The 7th grade boys placed 4th in the tournament and the 8th grade boys placed 5th. Preston Guoit said, “I loved coaching this group of kids they always had great effort.” The 8th graders ended their season with a win against skyline.

“I loved being around and coaching the middle school kids. With the attitudes they had this year they will succeed in high school,” said Coach Guoit. He also says that it took them a little while to get into the swing of things and he had to reteach some basketball concepts but once they figured it out they started playing a lot better and as a team.

7th grader David Oplotnik feels that this 7th grade season went pretty good and he was with happy with their overall production winning more games than they lost. He says that he is ready to get back to playing with his friends and trying to win a first place trophy next year. Travis Reybaud also a 7th grader is looking forward to next year and he says that some of the highlights from this year were beating teams that they weren’t expected to beat. Travis also thought that they could have done better but they still did pretty good. He thinks that they will have improved their talent for next year.
