Fair Grove Middle School Welcomes its New Members

Elias Morelan

This year the Fair Grove Middle School has gained five new members with two being transfers. All of these teachers are already involved in the community and are seeming to fit well with the jobs they were hired for. With new teachers coming in that means some are leaving. One of those teachers was Sue O’Deal who has retired after working a long 31 years.

The newest members to Fair Grove Schools are Sandy Gilpin, Morgan Roepke, and Brandy Coleman.

Sandy Gilpin has moved from Buffalo to Fair Grove to be the new art teacher in the middle school. She has taken Amy Holland’s position so that Amy could move back into the high school theater department. Sandy commented, “I love the positive culture here at Fair Grove! The staff has been supportive from day one and students are super fun and respectful. I feel truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community.”

The middle school counselor this year will be Brandy Coleman. By becoming the counselor he has committed himself to helping the middle schoolers get through the year in the best way possible.

This year’s new special education instructor and assistant middle school volleyball coach will be Morgan Roepke. Being a volleyball coach , Morgan will be teaching the girls who play qualities that they will be able to use throughout middle school and into high school. These three new members to Fair Grove are ready to make sure the middle schoolers have a good and positive school year.

A couple of faces the middle schoolers should recognize are Marilyn Meals and Abby Daigle. Marilyn Meals was one of the fourth grade teachers in the elementary, but this year she will be teaching fifth and sixth grade math. After Sue O’Deal working in the middle school for 31 years she has taken her well earned retirement. Transferring over to replace her will be Abby Daigle. With the changes in the middle school all of the new and returning teachers are ready to make this a successful year in the Fair Grove middle school.
