Booster Club Improving Schools Athletic Programs Since The 80’s

The Fair Grove Booster Club was founded in the early 1980’s by parents to help better our athletic programs. The following sports are all supported by the booster club: Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Cross Country, Track, Boys and Girls Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Cheerleading, and Weights. The booster club also provides athletes with scholarships. Rhonda Daniels (Treasurer) said, “The booster club provides scholarships for our student athletes.”

There are multiple positions in the booster club which help with organization of the program. Charity Bates (President), Kecia Maxwell (Vice President), Lori Fullerton (Secretary), Rhonda Daniels (Treasurer), Cindy Hill and Kelly Sutherland (Purchasing Agents), Brandon Hill, Andy Phifer, and Brad Terry (Fundraising Co-chairs). Together they accomplish tasks at hand each in every year. The booster club has also bought multiple items for teams this year to help improve performance. “We purchased a tent for the cross country team, an IPad for volleyball, backpacks for girls basketball and tumbling mats for cheerleading,” said Treasurer Daniels.

You can get involved by checking out the school’s website www.fairgroveschools.net and at the top of the page there will be a link labeled parents. Hover over the link and click on the tab that says FG Athletic Booster Club. There you will find more information about the booster club and a membership form if you are interested in either joining or helping out the booster club. Meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month at 6 pm in the middle school cafeteria.
