This year’s Fair Grove FBLA team competed at FBLA Districts at First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri on February 9th, and set some high standards for the FBLA teams of the years to come. Fair Grove had 25 teams competing in FBLA Districts while also having 5 of those teams moving on to FBLA State.

The marketing team of Logan Hollian(11), Ashlee Gallinger(11), and Ryan Odom(11) was the only team to place 1st in FBLA districts. Brystol Bates(11) placed 2nd in Advertising, and in Journalism. Ben Borchers(12) placed 3rd in Economics, Logan Hollian(11) placed 3rd in Organizational Leadership, and Ryan Padgett(12) placed 5th in Personal Finance.

The experience was awesome! You get to meet new people and compete against them. I would say to definitely do FBLA if you can! You can actually learn a lot about yourself or even discover new things you could enjoy that you hadn’t thought of before,” said Logan Holliman(11).

All of these teams will be competing in FBLA State that is to be announced on a later date. Cayse Overstreet  one of the head sponsors of the Fair Grove FBLA team said, “Overall, the students did really well. We had a lot of students medal, but it is pretty cut throat. This was also the first year we had a team get 1st place in Marketing, so it was  pretty special, especially with it being down to us and Strafford for 1st!”
