The Fair Grove High School Golf team is making their way into the 2019 spring season. With key returners such as Shain Lahey (12), Gaven Peterie (11), and Kamron Stacey (12), the team is determined to make it past districts this year.

The team is excited to go back to districts to attempt to get their title of three district wins in a row. Senior golfer, Shain Lahey stated, “I’m expecting this season to go really well, we have a lot of good players who know what they’re doing and can execute techniques properly.”

Shain Lahey, a senior this year is driven to make it to the State competition this year. He has previously gone during his freshman and sophomore years, but did not attend his junior year; he is determined to make his way back to state.

Head coach Bryan Tucker said, “We are looking forward in competing with schools such as Mount Vernon, Strafford, and Clever, they show lots of talent and are a good competition.”

“Gaven Peterie is someone I am very excited to watch this season. Last year he went to state as a sophomore, so I am excited to see what he can do this year,” Shain stated.

Coach Tucker is excited to see what Matthew Guynn(12) and Kyle Stacey(12) can do this year, he is expecting them to play lots of varsity.
