Gas Stations Mean a Lot to Fair Grove

Joshua Orr

Gas stations are helpful in many ways, and when it comes to a small town like Fair Grove, it’s a huge attraction. It provides products you’d expect as in drinks, snacks, fresh food, and a selection of quality fuel products, all on the go. With over 400 stores within 11 states “Kum & Go” is growing rapidly, and with a new one on the way, it’s only getting better.

Taking over four months to create, the new Kum & Go was finished and opened on the morning of Thursday October 10th. The attraction is going to sky rocket with the gas station being closer to the highway, and having a bigger sign. With that being said, there was around 35-50 people waiting outside the entrance for when it opened (6 am). You might think that people aren’t going to stop for anything, because they could either stop in Buffalo, or Springfield, depending where their going. Knowing truck drivers though, they are always wanting to take that extra mile, they love the newest and nicest things they can get, and they don’t like the traffic that Springfield could contain.

Kum & Go has brought on new customers, and with that being said, it has brought along new accessories within the store. There has been an addition of a new slushie machine and two digital fountain drink dispensers. The new Kum and go has a new fresh eats section, where you can get little snack of a healthy food choice, and also a wider selection of grocery type items you can receive. Student, Kyle Fritts (10) says,” I like the new selection of items you can get.” Kum and go has added on to their drink selection with also adding a wider variety of caffeine products, as well as tea options.

Kum & Go has meant a lot to the small town of Fair Grove, with having plenty more people then before, and having a great addition to the community. Kum & Go has more kids as well with adding their back road that is safer for the kids to walk on. Kum & Go isn’t going to stop here. Fritts explained, “It for sure is, and will for sure be Fair Groves main attraction for a while.”
