As 2019 comes to a close, many promising and well anticipated games are being released. One of those promising games is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

One of October’s biggest releases was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, with it releasing on the 27th. This game is a revamped story from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which released in 2007. It’s an iconic first person shooter game, with amazing new photo-realistic graphics, and many options for gameplay.

In the new release Call of Duty game there are three options for you to play. There is Multiplayer, Campaign, and Special OPS.

The multiplayer mode lets you customize what kind of fight you want to have with other people. Your options include a wide range of traditional multiplayer, gunfight, night vision, and ground war. In multiplayer you can also collect classic and all-new killstreaks. Overall, with multiplayer you get a large variety of gameplay, but there is even more game play with Campaign.

Campaign is a single player story mode. These stories are morally complex and allow you to team up with special forces and freedom fighters. In campaign, you are trying to obtain stolen chemical weapons. This story will be taking you across Europe and the Middle East, to try to stop global war. 

The final mode is Special OPS. This is a four player co-op, where you are trying to complete missions together. You can continue the story after the Campaign ends. You make your way through new missions that require many different strategies. In Special OPS the enemies can adapt to your team’s decisions, making the outcome of any mission change. 

Many questioned if this new Call of Duty game would be worth buying. It seems overall to be successful, because of the new direction this game is going. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare can be played on the PlayStation 4, Xbox one, and on PC. The cost of the game can vary depending on the edition you get. The Digital Standard costs $59.99, Operator Edition costs $79.99, and finally the last one is Operator Enhanced Edition which costs $99.99. The prices can be high for many people, but depending on the kind of gameplay you want, it might be worth getting the more expensive versions of the game.
